    Report from Scholarship Recipient

Fungal Endophyte Community of Montane Oaks
    Michele Hoffman

    20 Mar 2007

    Dear Dr. Tecle,

Hello from Tucson! I hope that my note finds you well.

I am writing on behalf of my student, Ms. Michele Hoffman, who received an ANAS Graduate Grant-in-Aid to examine endophytic fungi associated with oaks. We have prepared a report on her work, which I attach to this note as a PDF... I am glad to say that the grant-in-aid contributed not only to Michele's training and to our research costs, but also supported the research training of an undergraduate, Jason Ong, and provided a training opportunity for Dr. Mary Shimabukuro, a faculty member at Diné College, Tsaile, AZ.

Thank you for supporting Michele, and for all that the ANAS does to support students!

    With best wishes,

    Betsy Arnold
