One of the Arizona-Nevada Academy of Science's primary missions is to recognize and stimulate achievement in science education and to foster scientific inquiry at all levels.
The Arizona-Nevada Academy of Science provide research funding to students from high school up through graduate school. The grant funds may be used for any activity directly associated with an ongoing research project (equipment purchase, supplies, publication of research results, travel to field site, etc.)
All grants awarded by the Arizona-Nevada Academy of Science are sent to their affiliated high school, college or university for use of the recipient only. Grant monies cannot be used for administrative or institutional services of any kind.
Each Spring the Arizona-Nevada Academy of Science hosts an interdisciplinary gathering to discuss science, mathematics, and engineering at an academic institution in either Arizona or Nevada.
Student participants can apply to have their meeting travel expenses reimbursed.
Student authors of posters for the annual meeting can also apply to have the printing costs of their posters reimbursed, up to $50.00.
